What should you do when you see a gun?
DO NOT PICK
UP THE GUN.
DO NOT EVEN TOUCH THE GUN.
Remember, you
must have special training to know that the gun is safe and empty.
If something
like this happens to you -- tell an adult right away. Tell your mom,
dad, teacher, or neighbor. Guns should be locked up after they have been
used.
GUNS ARE
DANGEROUS. THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE TOUCHED BY SOMEONE WITHOUT PROPER
TRAINING.
These are some safety tips that you want to go over with your
children1.
How to dial '0' for the
operator.
2. Know their full name,
address and phone number with area code.
3. If they become separated
from you while shopping to go to the nearest
checkout counter and ask clerk for assistant.
Never to go to the parking lot!

Never scream, or yell out.
Instead, loudly say" not my mommy"
"not my mommy" or "not my daddy"
"not my daddy" or "stranger stranger stranger" but don't
scream.
5. Make sure your kids
know about 911.
6. You and your child should
have a secret word that only
you and your
mom, dad, big brother or sister or the person who always picks you up.
7. It is ok to say
NO to an
ADULT if they make you feel
uncomfortable.
8. Warn your children to need go into any car, truck, bus or camper.
9. If any
ADULT tells you to keep a
"SECRET" you have the right
to
yell out "NO"
10. No
ADULT has the right to ever
TOUCH YOU!
11. Know where your kids are at
ALL TIMES. They should ask
permission before they go ANYWHERE!
